Namibia Summer
WorldTeach summer volunteers in Namibia serve in a dual capacity of helping students learn English while also closing the global digital divide. Participants gain valuable work experience abroad while forming meaningful relationships with both local Namibians and fellow volunteers. In partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Namibia summer program assists in implementing the country's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) national strategy. In addition to teaching basic computer skills to students, volunteers' jobs often include taking on classes in a range of subjects, all taught in English. Placements span elementary, middle and high schools, in rural areas as well as larger towns and urban areas. Read on for more information.
