Volunteer Teachers at WorldTeach

Who becomes a WorldTeach volunteer?
WorldTeach volunteers come from diverse backgrounds throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and beyond. Volunteers can be recent college graduates, current college students (for summer programs), working professionals, teachers on sabbatical, couples, retirees, or anyone else who is committed to international service and education. To volunteer with our organization, you are not required to have previous teaching or foreign language experience. However, volunteers should be flexible and have the capacity to handle the excitement of living and working abroad.
What do all WorldTeach volunteers have in common?
While WorldTeach Volunteers have varying personalities and background experiences, those who participate in this program do share a few things in common. Our volunteers have a thirst to experience life in a developing country, a belief in the power of education, a spirit of adventure, and most importantly a desire to make a difference, one student at a time.
