American Samoa
Teach English, Math, Science in public high schools and elementary schools. Live in teacher housing. Departure in early July. Living allowance $150/month. Program Fee: US$0 plus US$1,500 to be returned upon completion of service (fully funded by American Samoan Ministry of Education).
Bangladesh - Asian University for Women
Teach in the Access Program, an intensive English and Quantitative Reasoning preparatory year for poor, rural, and refugee women from South and Southeast Asia who have been accepted to the new Asian University for Women. Limited to 10 volunteers. Teacher housing at school. Meals provided at school. Departure in early March 2008. For the first year, 18 month commitment (through August 2009) required. During vacations, volunteers will be taken on shorter trips across the region. Living allowance US$350/month. Program fee: US$0 plus US$1,500 deposit to be returned upon completion of service (fully funded by Asian University for Women).
China - Hunan Province
Teach oral English in middle schools (ages 12-18) in Changsha and other cities in Hunan Province. Housing (apartment) provided by host school. Departure in early August. Living allowance approx US$290/month; volunteers provide own food. Program fee: US$500 plus US$1,000 deposit to be returned upon completion of service (partially funded by Hunan Provincial Education Department).
Chile - DuocUC
Teach English to adult students in institutes similar to US community colleges. Placements in four urban areas: Santiago, Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, and Concepción. Live with a host family. Limited to 20 volunteers. Departure in early February. Living allowance approximately US$150/month. Program fee: US$2,990 (partially funded by DuocUC, Catholic University).
Chile - Ministry of Education
Teach English to students in rural primary schools or high schools for the Ministry of Education. Note: Basic Spanish proficiency required (or completion of online Spanish course provided by Ministry of Education prior to departure), developing country experience preferred. Ministry provides all in-country training and placement and host family support. WorldTeach provides pre-departure and supplemental in-country training and support. Departures in mid March and late May. Living allowance approximately US$150/month. Program fee: US$2,690 for semester-long program or US$3,190 for year-long program (partially funded by Ministry of Education in Chile).
Costa Rica
Teach English in public elementary schools in rural communities. Live with a host family. Departure in early January. Living allowance approx $100/month. Program fee: US$4,990.
Ecuador
Teach English primarily in universities and adult education centers. Most placements are in urban areas; a few are rural. Live with a host family. Departures in early March and early September. Living allowance approximately US$125-$150/month. Program fee: $4,990.
Guyana
Teach chemistry, physics, biology, geography, mathematics, English, or physical education. Mostly rural placements, but a few urban. Live in housing provided by the Ministry of Education. Departure in early August. Living allowance approx. US$225/month. Program fee: US$1,500 (partially funded by Guyanese Ministry of Education).
Kenya - Nyumbani Village
Serve as teacher assistants in grades 1-7 in the Nyumbani Village, a community 3 hours from Nairobi for children orphaned by AIDS; also assist at orphanage with HIV-positive orphans. Housing, meals provided at Village. Departure in mid July. Living allowance approx. US$150/month. Program fee: US$5,990.
 Marshall Islands
Teach English in public elementary schools or high schools. Placements are in urban areas on main island as well as more remote outer islands. Live with host family or in teacher housing. Departure in mid July. Living allowance approx. US$150/month. Program fee: US$0 plus US$1,500 deposit to be returned upon completion of service (fully-funded by Marshall Islands Ministry of Education).
Federated States of Micronesia - Kosrae & Pohnpei
Teach variety of subjects, especially English and math, in public high school. Live with host family or in teacher housing. Positions also available to teach English/math at the College of Micronesia (masters degree required). Departure in mid July. Living allowance approx. US$150/month. Program fee: US$0 plus US$1,500 deposit to be returned upon completion of service (fully-funded by Kosrae/Pohnpei Departments of Education).
Mongolia
Teach English in public high schools in provincial capitals (aimags) throughout Mongolia. Live in school dormitories. Departure in early August. Living housing approximately US$125/month. Program fee: US$4,990.
Namibia
Teach English/math/science/computers and HIV/AIDS education in primary/secondary schools or adult education centers. Mostly in rural communities, a few in urban areas. Housing provided by school/ mission or host family. Departure in late December. Living allowance approximately US$325. Program fee: US$5,990.
Rwanda
Teach math, science and English in public high schools throughout Rwanda. Live in school provided housing either on the school campus or nearby. Departure in late December. Living allowance approximately US$100/month from government and US$100/month from volunteer stipend payments. Program fee: US$7,990 (some matching grants may be available).
South Africa - Western Cape
Teach math, science and accounting in public high schols in Western Cape Province. Housing provided by schools. Departure in late June. Living allowance approximately US$300/month. Program fee: US$4,990 (subsidized by Education Department of Western Cape Provincial Government).
Venezuela
Teach instrumental music through world-renowned Fundacion del Estado para el Sistema Nacional de las Orquesatas Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela (FESNOJIV) to students in after-school music programs. Perform. Hold masters classes in centers across country. Need two string quartets, one woodwind quintet, one brass quintet, two percussionists. Departure in early August. Program fee: US$2,500 (partially funded by FESNOJIV and Ministry of Culture in Venezuela).

Work with children in orphanages in Sofia and Plovdiv through the STEP Bulgaria program, leading summer camp activities and teaching English and basic computer skills. Program fee: US$3,990.

Teach oral English at summer camps for middle school students in Hunan Province. Participate in cultural activities. Chinese lessons, housing and meals provided by host schools. Departure in mid June. Program fee: US$3,990.

Teach English in middle and high schools in towns and villages across rural regions of eastern Poland. Room and board provided with host family. Departure in late June. Program fee: US$3,990.
South Africa - Western Cape
Teach youth/young adult group for several weeks, followed by teaching placements in diverse sites in the Cape Town region (mostly schools, some youth organizations). Host family will provide breakfast and dinner. Departure in late June. Program fee: $4,490.
