“We are very pleased with the work WorldTeach has done in Guyana over the past year. They have really done an outstanding job, especially in regions where there is a critical need for teachers. We look forward to establishing a long term relationship with WorldTeach and are excited over their continued involvement in helping to achieve the educational objectives and development goals of the ministry."
~Dr. Henry Jeffrey, Education Minister
The Ministry of Education of the Marshall Islands
The World Teach Volunteers are doing a wonderful job of helping set a good example for our Marshallese teachers to follow in terms of being on time and be there to do the job. I'm sure their dedication and good will is paying dividends on our own teachers, not to mention the quality of the education they impart to the students, especially in the English language arts, math, science, social studies, etc. Now if the U.S. PC program should be reinstated in the RMI, the efforts of the USPC Volunteers should complement the efforts of the World Teach Volunteers and the Ministry of Education teachers and administrators. Education is the key to the RMI's success in becoming fully self-sustaining and being weaned from being too dependent on our good and generous benefactor, the U.S.A.
~Alfred Capelle, Ambassador to the United Nations
from the Republic of the Marshall Islands
"We would like to thank you again for the inevitable assistance provided by WorldTeach Teachers. They had tremendous impact on students and teachers' performance here at our two high schools. We are pleased that two of them decided to remain to continue helping us. We are expecting the 7 teachers and as always are eager to meet and work with them. Thank you again for WorldTeach Volunteers."
~Casiano Shoniber, Secretary of Education, Pohnpei
'We are very glad to have a collaboration between WorldTeach and MINEDUC in the education for the young Rwandese generation. The volunteers of WT are placed in 13 schools and they help in teaching of their subjects of math and science, and ICT in English and help in different programs for the development of their schools. For example, at St. Bernadette, the volunteer helped with the internet connection and in Kayonza, the volunteer organizes constructive and educational debates with other teachers and students. The other good thing is the cooperation between the volunteer and their community and their integration into the Rwandan society."
-Johnson Ntagaramba - Head of Teacher Management and Staffing of Teacher's Service Commission
Note: In Poland, South Africa, and Ecuador we have partnerships with a number of individuals, schools and sponsoring institutions rather than a single Ministry, District or Province.
